Pride & Joy: A Gospel Music Collection ReviewEx-Baseball player Charley Pride had 29 #1 Billboard Country Hits between 1969 & 1983. He also has the distinction of recording the first Gospel Album to hit #1. This was the Grammy winning 1971 release "Did You Think To Pray". Unfortunately, that album has never been released on CD. This collection, "Pride & Joy", is almost as good, incredibly 35 years has not diminished the heartfelt, soulful singing of Charley Pride. I heartily recommend this CD to anyone who likes Charley and/or masterfully done Southern Country Gospel Music.
