While that is well deserved recognition, and its hard to think of anyone who has ever celebrated sex as joyfully as Bo Carter, he's still one of the most undeservedly obscure artists to ever come out of Mississippi.
Carter's guitar work and vocals put him in a league with other Delta Blues icons like Son house and Robert Johnson. That sounds like high praise, and it is.
