Favorite Song of All ReviewThis is truly one of the better large gospel choral groups recording today. Their music is an original blend of traditional black gospel with contemporary Christian sounds. The soloists are particularly strong in this recording.As a choir director myself, I'm always amazed at the precision this group achieves in diction and rhythm. I usually have trouble getting my 20-voice group to sing together -- getting a group of 250+ singers to do the same thing at the same time is truly an accomplishment!
Of particular note are the cuts "Favorite Song of All," "Field of Souls," and my personal favorite "Order My Steps." The soloists are spectacular -- an even more impressive accomplishment when you consider that this entire CD put together from recordings of three Sunday services at the Brooklyn Tabernacle.
