Harry / Nilsson Sings Newman ReviewThis is actually a 2fer of Nilsson's Harry album and Nilsson Sings Newman. Both albums fit together really well (particularly since Harry was recorded just prior to NSN and closes with one of Randy's tunes). Nilsson Sings Newman offers a more textured less smooth production style which fits well with Newman's ironic wit. The only other artist besides Newman that could do justice to his material was Harry (and, at times, Harry actually could do Randy better than Randy).
I'd stick with the domestic versions of both (Harry is available from DCC Compact Discs while NSN is available from Buddah)as both feature more bonus tracks, hence more bang for the buck. If you're on a budget this 2fer is a great choice.Harry / Nilsson Sings Newman Overview
