Alabaster Box ReviewFirst of all Cece is not for the average listener of gospel music. She is in a class all by herself. If you want a cd that will usher you into the presence of God, this is the one. From "Fill My Cup" to "King of Kings" reprise and all points in between. I so identified with "Alabaster Box" that it moved me to tears. Her rendition of "Comforter" also recorded by Vickie Yohe is wonderful. "It Wasn't Easy" finds me more thankful for the sacrifice that was made for me at Calvary. "Blessed, Broken and Given" is incredible. A lot of people are moved by the beats. I thank CeCe for being more concerned about how and why it is that we praise HIM. Absolute awesome body of work!Alabaster Box Overview

My Christmas Prayer ReviewI have a ton of Christmas albums that routinely get pulled out the day after Thanksgiving. I received this album as a present from a friend and upon listening, instantly knew that it would not only be my FAVORITE holiday album, but one that I would buy for many friends as presents. Then today, I saw Mr. Winans perform "My Christmas Prayer" on Oprah's World Aids Day show. I was speechless at the end of the song. I could see the tears in Oprah's eyes as I wiped away the ones in mine. I lost my brother nine years ago to AIDS so the song along with the show had a very special meaning to me. In a time when nothing is certain anymore, we all need to listen to the words of the song. " For those that grieve,God will bring comfort. Laughter will rapture there, this is my Christmas prayer".My Christmas Prayer Overview

My Kind of Christmas ReviewThe most gifted singer to come along in a long time is obviously Christina Aguilera. She ahs proven she can sing anything with that powerful belt. On her Christmas CD she chooses christmas favorites and a few original songs. Her rendition of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas will blow everyone away. Other highlight include The Christmas Song and This Christmas. One thing she needs to do is calm down a bit. Her version of O Holy Night is a vocal rollercoaster which easily could have been the highlight of this album, but she feels the need to prove that she really can sing. She already has and I'm sure alot of people would agree with me when I say she should just hit the high note and hold it, that would send shivers up and down my spine. To me it is not appropriate to do vocal acrobatics on standard Christmas songs, but she has an amazing voice and she sings her heart out.
